My Country Vase

My "thank you" bouquets somehow usually involve an upcycled jar and whatever's currently blooming.

I can't lay claim to the carnations (grocery store) or the lilies of the valley (MIL's garden), but the molasses bottle certainly came from my kitchen.  It was too cute to throw into the recycling bin so it's been cluttering up languishing on my counter for most of the week.  Seriously, how could anyone throw away that a bunny that perky?

There's a simple country charm about fresh flowers in a homemade vase that I just love to share with friends.  They must appreciate it too, because it's surprising how often a friend will return the "vase"!

  1. My DIL uses those coffee drink glass bottle. I have also seen those used in a 4 pack with the carrier for gifts filled with candies and etc.

  2. Now that makes the cutest vase. I love the reuse of bottles and colorful jars for bouquets.
